Many children in the Pacific live without electricity, or funds to pay for lighting in homes. This hinders educational opportunities. Where fuel-based lighting exists, essential funds are spent, resulting in health issues from breathing toxic fumes. Solar lights provide real opportunities for better lives by enabling children to study at night and further education opportunities for themselves and their families.
The Solar Light Service Project will assemble 11,000 lights that will then be delivered to families around the Pacific. If you would like to join an assembly event please refer to this list of locations and times:
